Common Questions
WHAT ARE EYELASH EXTENSIONS?
Semi permanent eyelash extensions are single, or multiple strands of quality synthetic lashes applied to a single natural eyelash creating length and thickness without the need for mascara. Safe and comfortable to wear, extensions are never applied directly to your skin or eyelid. Extensions are water-resistant so you can swim or shower worry free while looking your best. The appointment includes strategic mapping for symmetrical eyelashes that frame and compliment your eye shape, bone structure and face. Your lash expert will guide you through the process to determine: 1) what style, curl and color is most flattering and 2) the length and amount of lashes (how thick we can go) that your natural lashes are able to withstand. We offer beautiful custom lashes extensions while maintaining the health and structural integrity of your natural lashes.

WHAT TO DO TO PREPARE FOR MY EYELASH EXTENSION APPOINTMENT?
We ask that children do not come along unless they are receiving treatments themselves.
Come ready to relax by avoiding caffeinated beverages just before your appointment.
Bring your eyeglasses to your appointment and remove contact lenses if any.
Parking may be an issue so please plan your commute time accordingly. We are booked back to back and your scheduled time is reserved especially for you.
Silent your cell phones
Please arrive without eye makeup and skincare including eye cream, sunscreen and concealer. Lash Extensions: Longer lasting extensions between relash fills involves clean natural lashes. Makeup including waterproof mascara or other lash adhesive remains provide a non-porous lash surface therefore the extension applied may not bond properly. *First time, Full Set Lash Clients - please do not wear any mascara or false eyelashes within 48 hours prior to your appointment. We do cleanse and prime your lashes before application however more time spent cleaning results in less lash time and a not-as-full Set or Relash fill.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING MY EYELASH EXTENSION APPOINTMENT(FIRST TIME CLIENTS)?
Allow us to fulfill your every expectation. What you may consider natural looking may translate to your lash artist differently therefore an in-depth consultation is completed prior to application to determine which lash technique and style is right for you.
We will begin with registration, paperwork, consultation, application and after care instructions to end your appointment. Appointments may take anywhere from 2.5 to 3.5 hours. Relash fills thereafter may take anywhere from 60 minutes and up depending on the lapse time in between weekly relash appointments and the appointment time booked/scheduled.
You will be laying on your back for approximately two (Full Set Classic) to three (Full Set Volume) hours without restroom breaks therefore please plan accordingly.
Occasionally we have a new customer that may not be satisfied with their new set of lashes. Perhaps they want to go longer or shorter; desire a more or less lash curvature; maybe thence prefer a doll style instead of a cat eye style but didn’t realize it until looking into the mirror. Not to worry, we are able to remedy this at your next appointment.
WHAT IS THE LONG TERM CARE FOR LASH EXTENSIONS?
Lashes have been cured therefore you no longer need to wait 24 hours before wetting them.
Practice good hygiene and protect your investment by cleaning your lashes DAILY. Wash away makeup, oil from your skin, environmental debris and shampoo or conditioner residue at the end of each day. Cleanse your lids, lash line and lashes in a circular motion with a clean eyeshadow blending brush and Lash Bath®️ then rinse with warm water. Lint free disposable lip gloss applicators may be used instead of cotton or q-tips (cotton will snag and pull on your extensions) to to assist with precision cleaning if needed. Blot underneath wet lashes with a lint free towel then air or blow dry on a cool setting. Brush and lift your lashes back into shape with a clean mascara spooly (do not over brush).
Rinse lashes with water immediately after swimming in the ocean or after shedding a tear. Salt water will break down the bonds of the adhesive and you may experience premature lash loss.
Brush dry lashes after your morning routine rinse.
Do not rub your eyes. Be gentle with your lashes - No picking, pulling or excessively touching your lashes
No waterproof or oil based mascara. Use mascaras that are lash extension safe only.
Use care when applying facial and eye creams and avoid the lash line. Too many oil based products may break down the adhesive.
No eyelash curler
Sleep on your back instead of on your face
Avoid getting lashes close to extreme heat such as ovens, hot blow driers, lighters or the barbecue when grilling. This will cause the tips of the extensions to singe loose its style and you will not able to brush through them.
Keep away from contact with heavy steam.
To prevent damage to your extension, take extra care when receiving all facial treatments and procedures that come in direct contact with the eyes. Inform your esthetician or medical provider that you are we wearing extensions before the facial procedure begins.
Maintain your lashes with touch up appointments every 2-3 weeks
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CLASSIC, VOLUME AND HYBRID?
It depends on the structural integrity of your natural lashes along with how you want your lashes to look & feel. Everyone receives a custom set regardless. Please refer to descriptions in drop down under lash extension pricing.
WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT STYLES TO CHOOSE FROM?
Again, everyone receives a custom set regardless and it depends on the structural integrity of your natural lashes, also how you want your lashes to look & feel. Inquire with your lash artist to determine what look will enhance your eye shape and lifestyle best. There six basic styles to choose from, however length and curvature will differ from one person to the next:
Natural - No added length, just thickness. Good for everyday wear.
Doe - Longer in the center tapering down with equal lengths on the inside and outside corners to instantly open the eyes. Perfect for small eyes, downward turned eyes and wide set eyes.
Modern/Doll - Length throughout but mostly in the middle to make your eyes appear larger. Great for hooded eyes, droopy eyes and short length eyes. Not recommended for round eyes.
Cat Eye - Longest lashes on the outer corner for an exotic look. Works well on upturned eyes, round eyes and close-set eyes. Not recommend for everyone especially downward turning eyes as it may look heavy and tired.
Modern Cat Eye - Longest in the mid to outer corner but tapering down to shorter lashes on the outmost corner. Suitable for most eye shapes.
Glam - A mix of long and short lashes like a strip lash, staggered with purpose providing texture for a bold look or for special occasions. This style does not last as long as other styles.
HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO GET A RELASH FILL AND WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
Relash fills are recommended every two weeks for a Classic technique and every two to three weeks for a Volume technique. It includes removing the extensions that have grown out or have weakened bases, cleaning then prepping each lash for application. If the extension is attached properly, your natural lash will carry out its natural growth cycle. The eyelash frame/design then becomes distorted as the extensions begin tilting to the side. This is the reason for replacing regrowth and why Relash fills take more time than you might expect. A full set is then reapplied given the amount of time you have scheduled.
WHY DO I SEEM TO LOSE 1-5 LASHES EVERY DAY?
An average person has 120 to 160 lashes on each eye that grow in different stages. Eyelashes grow in and fall out in cycles which occur every 60-90 days. On an average, a person can loose up to 20% of their lashes every two weeks. Note that we are not sure how long a hair has been in the telogen stage (final resting stage) so attaching to these may shed at any given time. In fact the weight of the extension may promote a lash to shed if it’s in the last stage of its cycle and you could loose an extension within hours of your relash fill. Not to worry, a new hair follicle will grow behind the shedding lash and replace it. This is why we recommend relash fills every two weeks to maintain a fuller looking lash line.
CAN I SWITCH UP MY LASH STYLE DUE TO A SPECIAL EVENT OR CHANGE OF TASTE WHILE MAINTAINING RELASH FILLS?
Yes you may. You’ll go through a transitional stage as your lash artist will not remove all of your extensions; instead she will resume your new style which may take several relash fills until the new style is acquired. Extra time and fees apply to the Classic technique in exchange for Volume lashes in addition to Relash pricing. Select the appropriate field while booking your appointment *Transition from Classic technique to Volume @ $75 AND *Volume Relash preferred time slot.
A2: If you wish to avoid the transitional stage as stated above, you may opt for a complete removal and full set instead. Standard full set fees apply.
HOW DO I REMOVE MY EYELASH EXTENSIONS?
Seek a professional for assistance. Go to online booking to schedule your appointment. I won’t deny that I haven’t personally tried the suggested DIY oil method in the past. It was a battle...messy havoc and suffering; I’m sure that I killed a few lash hair follicles in the process, and I still had a few hanging on even after the fact. Really, there is no over-the-counter product that will get the job done properly. You’ll likely pull out your natural lashes prematurely and cause long term damage. This will not only result in pain and bald spots through your lash line but your lashes may never grow back. If you do not seek professional help, your best bet is to leave your lashes alone. Basically allow your lashes to grow and let the extensions shed out with your lash’s natural lash cycle.
